The good stuff

It’s freakishly light. Opened 15 tabs in one window, and the app barely registered on my Activity Monitor. No lag, no spinning beach ball. The interface is minimal-no clutter, no flashy menus. Just a clean address bar, tabs on top, and that’s it. I actually liked how the tab management felt more intuitive than Chrome’s default layout. And it loads websites like they’re on a dial-up connection from 2003, which is… kind of amazing. I opened a complex web app (a design tool) and it worked without any hiccups. Also, bookmarks are easy to access and organize-no digging through nested folders. It’s not fancy, but it does exactly what it says on the tin.

The not-so-good

Yeah, it’s free, but that comes with some limitations. No built-in password manager, no sync across devices, and nothing like Brave’s ad blocker. If you’re used to those features, you’ll miss them. Also, it doesn’t support extensions-so no uBlock Origin or anything. And don’t expect fancy themes or dark mode unless the dev adds it later. The lack of user reviews online is weird too. Only one rating on App Store, and it’s a 9.2? That feels suspicious. But hey, maybe it’s just under the radar. Still, if you need something robust for work or heavy multitasking, this isn’t it. It’s best for casual browsing-checking emails, reading news, maybe some Reddit.

Bottom line

If you’ve got an older Mac, hate bloat, and just want to get to your favorite sites without waiting, try Terometrik - Download for Mac. It’s not going to replace your main browser if you do a lot of online work, but as a lightweight alternative, it’s solid. Free, fast, and gets out of your way. I’d recommend it to anyone who’s tired of their browser slowing down their machine. Give it a shot-nothing to lose.
